Italian Plum Torte

We are just getting some crisp fall air rolling in, so I decided to go u-picking yesterday and visit a cider mill. I got loads of great produce including some great Italian plums for 50 cents/lb which inspired me to try my hand at an plum torte recipe, which I modified slightly by slicing and fanning the plums rather than using them halved.
